How to Sync MARCo Accounts

Looking to sync your MARCo Online account to your physical MARCo? Find out how to connect in a few simple steps!

Before doing anything..

  1. Power on your MARCo
  2. Wake MARCo using the “Wake MARCo” button once the screen loads
  3. Ensure MARCo is connected to WiFi. You can do this from the log-in screen by tapping the WiFi icon in the lower right corner to reveal system settings.
  4. The network controls will appear in the middle bottom of the screen. If they appear as two grey lines with a red line crossing them, the network is not connected. You can click on this icon to see a list of available WiFi networks.
  5. If you are using WiFi, the icon will appear as a blue and grey WiFi symbol if connected. If you are using an ethernet cable, it will appear as two blue arrows.
  6. Once you have connected to WiFi or ensured connection, tap on the WiFi icon to close once again.

How to Sync an Existing Physical Account to an Online Account

If you have been using a physical MARCo since before the MARCo 2.0 update, you will need to sync your data between your physical account and your online account to prevent data loss. To do this, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open MARCo Online on a desktop or phone and sign into the account you want to connect to your MARCo.
  2. On MARCo, on the boot screen, tap on the right-most icon that says “MARCo Login (OLD)”
  3. Type in the name and password you used for a previous account (you can no longer create a new account using this method)
  4. Once logged in, tap on the right icon on the quick app screen until you see “Settings.” Tap on Settings.
  5. Tap on the tab titled “User”
  6. Tap on the option that says “Sync to Online Account”
  7. A five character code will appear on the screen. In your MARCo Online application, click on the settings icon and open the tab that says “Basic User Information.”
  8. Scroll down to find the area that says “Sync to MARCo”
  9. Type in the five character code and tap “Sync to MARCo”
  10. MARCo will notify you once the accounts are synced, and you can then hit cancel to close that window.
  11. When you log in going forward, sign in using your MARCo Online account! DO NOT use your old log-in anymore.

How to Sign In With My Online Account

You have two options for signing into MARCo using your online account:

OPTION 1: (Preferred Method) Sync to Device

  1. Open MARCo Online on a desktop or phone and sign into the account you want to connect to your MARCo.
  2. On MARCo, on the boot screen, tap on the left-most icon on the boot screen that says “Sync to Device”
  3. A five character code will appear on screen
  4. A five character code will appear on the screen. In your MARCo Online application, click on the settings icon and open the tab that says “Basic User Information.”
  5. Scroll down to find the area that says “Sync to MARCo”
  6. Type in the five character code and tap “Sync to MARCo”
  7. MARCo will sign you in within a few seconds!

OPTION 2: Sign-In With Social

  1. On MARCo, on the boot screen, tap on the center icon on the boot screen that says “Sign In with Social.” ONLY TAP THIS ONCE
  2. MARCo will connect to a secure server to pull up a secure login page. This may take several seconds due to the security.
  3. Tap on either the Google, Facebook, or Email icon to sign in. Make sure you use the same method as you use to sign into your MARCo Online account.
  4. Once you follow these procedures and sign-in, MARCo will close the screen and start the session for you. This process may take several seconds.

Option 1 is the quickest way to get set up, as Option 2 can take up to a minute or two, but if you don’t have a second device handy, you can always use Option 2 to sign in.
